A Constitutional Republic vs a Democracy. A Republic, Not A Democracy by Dan Smoot Apr 18, 1966

The American’s Creed [2024]

I believe in the United States of America as a government forged of the people, by the people, for the people, empowered by their consent, and dedicated to their welfare. It stands as a sovereign Republic, born in 1776, comprised of numerous sovereign States, yet unified as one indivisible nation under God. Rooted in the ideals of liberty, freedom, equality, justice, and humanity, it honors the sacrifices of American patriots who laid down their lives and fortunes to uphold these principles. This nation is a beacon of hope, a testament to the resilience of steadfast patriots, and a shining example of the power of unity amidst diversity across the world.

Today, America stands as a beacon of liberty and self-governance, conceived in the crucible of revolution and consecrated by the sacrifices of patriots who envisioned a nation where the inherent dignity and the unalienable rights of every individual are upheld and respected, which were endowed by our Creator. Founded upon the profound principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity, America’s journey towards a more perfect union has been marked by struggles and triumphs, yet its essence remains resolute and unwavering. It is a sovereign Republic, intricately woven from the sovereignty of its diverse people and the collective aspirations of its many sovereign States, forming an indivisible unity that transcends individual interests for the greater common good. In embracing this noble vision, we honor the legacy of those who came before us, and in safeguarding it, we pave the way for a future where the promise of America shines ever brighter, inspiring generations yet to come.
